Operation Amani (Swahili word for Peace) provides a place of hope, healing, training, and support to formerly gang-involved and previously incarcerated populations. We aim to mitigate the impact of incarceration on children, family members, and the post-release family reunification process, to prevent future incarceration and criminal activity. Our focus is to remove the barriers and provide the necessary services for returning citizens to gain a fresh start and redirect their lives to become healthy, contributing members of society.Â
